This is where the Houstoun Gate Locomotive Works started. Its a video of the Houstoun Gate Light Railway's rebuilt Mamod. Although the staff of the HGLW have many many years of engineering experience beyond this humble start.
Exciting News - We are in the process of creating a railbus in a similar vein to the much loved but long discontinued Locomotion range
The HGLW Busted Bricks range has been rebranded the 'Everyman' Range. The reason for this is that it better reflects the many varied uses of these kits. As a novice you can shake them out of the bag and assemble them just as they are, then as your skills develop you can add details that customise them to make them fit your own lines needs
Don't forget to take pictures of what you build and send them to HGLW@EagleAssist.com for us to see and post on our facebook page
Houstoun Gate Locomotive Works is featured in the the centre spread of the April issue of Garden Rail magazine
A good read from a good magazine. Why not take a look. Tell them HGLW sent ya.
Houstoun Gate Locomotive Works were represented in the latest copy of the Association of 16mm Narrow Gauge Modellers bulletin with this picture of one of our locos built by Jay Crocker and fitted with radio control pulling a rather heavy load on the rails of the Barley Pit Railway
If you are not a member of the 16mm association it is worth the price of the subscription for the quarterly journal alone. Never mind the rest of the benefits. Take a look at their website
